Valvoline Restore & Protect

One simple thing that could be helping , that has zero to do with the Brand oil in the sump is maybe the 0w30 is helping the engine heat up faster, resulting in less fuel making it and staying in the oil. Of course not a miracle "fix." There is none for a 100% known design flaw that the manufacturer refuses to admit to. Yet at this point, anything is helpful since the wife loves her car so much, dilution or no dilution.
The difference in oil viscosity isn't going to make any real difference in the sump bulk temperature (probably less than a few deg F) that would effect fuel dilution burn-off.

Stuck rings could certainly increase combustion blow-by and therefore the level of fuel dilution. Having clean and 100% free rings to seal properly is pretty important to the performance of the engine. Anything to help keep them clean and free is a good thing.

Has anyone been able to find the R&P in Ontario , Canada?.. I chatted with Valvoline's online chat and they have no clue, I called their Global Operations team at 1-800-832-6825 and they have no clue.. I tried to get a hold of someone at Valvoline here in MIssissauga and their Voice system doesnt allow a front desk option (0), I need to know someone's name..

Never thought it would be so hard to find a product.
I sent an email to Valvoline asking when it was going to be available in Canada and that person said they didn’t know when that would happen 🫤

I don’t live too far from the border so I bought a jug of it from a Walmart in Niagara Falls NY

anyone here know....???
Is there anywhere else in the Western (or Eastern) Hemisphere were two exact-same city names (Niagara Falls) exist only 2-3 miles apart?

Neptune or Pluto may have (1) underground....

40 pages deep, is this oil really the cats meow?

I use NAPA auto rebranded Valvoline with never any problems to be had. Is this really worth the hysteria or is it another product to crowd the shelves?

Is that due to the use of VR&P?
Seems so. I didn't watch any of the other vids to try and ascertain the history of his Ford (truck), like wut his OCI or odometer numbers were.

The Lake Speed video where he talks to the boys at Valvoline testing lab, they said they tried to make the detergent/cleaner a mild amount so it cleans over several oil changes buuut maybe if the engine has a ton of sludge then it might start clearing it out I guess. https://youtu.be/kyyZDghgdCI&t=886

Short trips, low miles over long duration, will create fuel dilution no matter what oil is used (<5K/6 months) even on a new car with fresh clean rings.

Exactly....was he tearing his filter down each time...maybe it always looks that way. I didn't catch what the concern was...did he have a problem that he thinks was caused by the sludgy stuff?
I really don’t trust most of these YouTubers. There is really no assurance that what is being presented is factual. Most if not all have no clue what constitutes a valid test with proper conclusions.

And add to that, in this instance the product is being claimed to act in a manner that is contrary to the manufacturer’s stated outcome.

This is a very new product and yes sometimes social media journalism does reveal issues with products/services that would normally be kept quiet thanks to a thing called "sponsored by" . You are not wrong to be skeptical tho.

I find it funny that a dissected filter showing carbon crumbs or is collecting sludge gets accolades when certain products are used, then challenged when other products are used. Even when the filter is a one off, and no others from the vehicle are shown to compare it to. No brands or products in particular, just an observation that dates back here a very long time.

100% facts.
