Like with any good product that does a good job of cleaning, the dirtier the engine is, the more important it is to ensure the filter isn't gong to be overwhelmed. Proof that Valvoline R&P works well to clean up dirty engines.
My point, exactly!Proof that Valvoline R&P works well to clean up dirty engines.
Link?Walmart is now offering this restore and protect in bulk ebox oil changes, $64.88. Not a bad price compared to other lube joints.
No link but it's listed on the walmart app auto section as premium full synthetic oil change service, and mentions restore and protect.Link?
Watched that last night, to me that definitely gave some proof that the VRP is legit for sure and definitely a solid option for regular interval drivers. I think I will run my wifes car and my moms cars on this stuff. I will stick with HPL on my junk.

I was going to say there are more appropriate friction reducers.HPL on your junk.....Gotcha
And you can return the filter for full credit right away if you have a preference for another version or have stock at home. Hint get the $14.99 one not $5.99 one.Was just at AZ - VRP+oil filter for $37 …
Substantial cleaning for only 500 miles. It looks like this is more sludge though, which will clean up faster than piston deposits. Most oils can't clean existing piston deposits.
What I have done is just grab one for the Kohler etc …And you can return the filter for full credit right away if you have a preference for another version or have stock at home. Hint get the $14.99 one not $5.99 one.
Good point. At the same time, it at least indicates it could be successful at also cleaning piston deposit over time; if it’s this effective at sludge removal in only 500 miles.Substantial cleaning for only 500 miles. The way oils are traditionally designed is to mitigate deposit formation and keep them at bay.
You miss not using a product? then why not start using it again.I believe you Brendan. I really miss not using Valvoline EP anymore. It rivals Mobil-1 EP on my $Best Value$ List.

Of course, a better comparison would’ve been a similar sludged control engine running a different off the shelf synthetic and filter dissection at 500 miles.
