Valvoline Restore and Protect Fuel System Cleaner??

I'll be interested to try it out and see some results from others that may have extremely dirty engines and fuel system components. I suppose I probably don't have a ton to clean up since I typically use Techron before each oil change already, but I'm definitely going to give it a go when it becomes available. I do have my 91 MR2 though that could probably benefit from giving this a try.

I am curious if this was possibly formulated as a double whammy to be used in conjunction with Valvoline Restore and Protect oils to help accelerate cleaning carboned up rings? Just spit balling here....

That was exactly the development goal for the 2 to be used in conjunction, but also still work independently great as well. Can't wait to see the feedback!

I don’t know this person, just found their post while digging around the internet for more info. Seems this gentleman works for the Gold Eagle Co., who handles the blending & packaging for Valvoline. He has some other interesting posts as well.

Shipped out end of last week and should be in stores any day now. Autozone will be the first to get it. All the Valvoline Performance Chemicals (fuel system cleaners, stop leaks, aerosols, power steering fluids) were being filled by another supplier up until Decemeber when our company became the licensee and developed all new formulas to meet ours and Valvoline Globals Standards and we are very excited to see the relaunch of all of these products.

For anyone who does not know Gold Eagles history we are a 90+ year old, still family owned company! We have many national brands such as STA-BIL, HEET, 303 appearance products, Hot Shots Secret, and a few others. We also work very closely with oems to help them develop new additives or help them solve issues they foresee coming and fill/formulate private brand products ( I am sure some vehicle, equipment, etc you have has something we make in it). Everything is filled in the USA. We have our own in house lab to formulate and test, 7 filling lines, in-house blending, bulk tanks, warehousing and blow molding of bottles. This is all attached to our global headquarters. Doing everything in-house in this industry is very unique and we take great pride in it. We are also ISO 9001 certified.

Dang you! I've been reloading the Autozone page all day today since my store said it should be instock today at my local stores. There's plenty in stock in other sotres 70+ miles from me.

bought 2 bottles, they say up to 18 gallons.

perfectly safe to use with E-85.

In case anyone wants to see the entire lineup of new performance chemicals. Here they are! Obviously, certain retailers will carry certain products, but all will be/ some are already are available on Amazon and other online selling platforms.

Here is a response I received asking a little more about the product. @Carguy2427, I would have just asked you, but I had sent this over before I saw you were in this thread.

• "The additive is built on a new chemistry that contains both detergents and solvents. Since the formula is proprietary we can not go into a ton of detail, but can tell you in ASTM D6201 testing the additive has proven a 98% improvement over Top Tier base fuel for Intake Valve Deposits, the industry standard for GDI testing in GM LHU Injectors proved a 100% clean up in 1 tank full, and that the formula gets an A rating in corrosion protection."
