Valvoline 5W20 OR Valvoline Durablend 5W20

If you must go 5k go with the durablend.

Whichever is less, based on Wally jug price that would be Valvoline Premium (VWB). ~5k/6month oci is no problem for VWB and your driving profile.

Durablend is rare item, not sold at Wally in these parts. If I had to have a Syn Blend in 5w20, I'd go with Motorcraft for availabililty and price, just me. But again, VWB is just fine.

Both are good, DuraBlend is a little better in terms of some spec's. Flip a coin I guess, or get another oil that is on sale at an autostore.

I've used Valvoline for along time in other vehicles with no problems. I figured with 7qt capacity plain 5W20 Val would be ok.
5000 OCI would be the longest anyway, most probably less miles.
I just wanted opinions on the new HEMI and how it likes it's oil changed.

If you're just going 5k at the max, go with Valvoline WB. Or better yet, save some energy and go with the Next Gen.

Regular Valvoline/Next Gen will go UP to 5k just fine. Any longer than that I would go Durablend.

Durablend is hard to find anymore but can still be had on special at AZ for a fair price once in a while, that is if you're willing to use the Toughgard filter with it. It does have a little better specs than VWB but VWB will certainly be up to the task for what you're asking IMO.

For 5K, either oil should work fine.
If you want maybe a little better basestock blend, Durablend can be had on special for little more than VWB.
As others have noted, Durablend is getting hard to find.

Valvo white bottle will do fine for a 5k oci and a little less expensive to boot.

DuraBlend....AutoZone has it on sale
a couple times a year. The extra cost
per mile is minimal. Good juice.

Unless you have contamination issues, you don't need a synblend for 5K OCI in a 7 qt sump.

Any certified dino will do.

Well I ended up using Mobil5000 5W20. Changed mind at last minute.
Anybody's thoughts on this oil?
Is it worth it to step up to Mobil7500 for alittle extra protection?

Don't let the OP get confused, it meets DEXOS 1 but it is not DEXOS 1 approved.

Unless you have a stash of it or know a store that has some NOS - Mobil 7500 is discontinued.
