Both are actually on sale here in Canada.

I think these two oil are the final boss on here lately, mostly the new Valvoline lineup which seems to be the new hype.

I'm actually running Castrol GTX Magnatec, SP Dexos Gen 2 I believe, good stuff, good cold startups, very smooth running.

The Valvoline Advanced has a nice amount of Moly in it, but how does it compared to the Mobil 1? I think I saw on here that Mobil 1 uses another type of Moly? but no quite sure.

I'm only doing 5K miles OCI with OEM Mazda filter on my 2018 Mazda3 2.0L Skyactiv. I do have a heavy foot sometimes, but mostly do highway driving 60-80 mph.

Both are great, but I'm just curious how the anti-wear agents compare between the two and the claim about the Mobil 1 providing "advanced fuel economy" which I doubt it makes any difference in real world driving.

Any inputs is welcomed, thanks guys!

I’ve got 5 qts of advance 0w20 but have found no reason to use it yet. With a shelf full of torco, hpl, schaeffers and hps. I’m saving it for next winter as to not destroy expensive oils with idling and fuel dilution/mositure. I’d fully trust any valvoline products, I used maxlife synthetic 0w20 in an 18 rogue from new, changed every 4-5k and the internals were spotless at 85k when I ran out of my $2 per qt stash.

Do you have a hybrid? Valvoline has a good amount of moly, this compared to TGMO, according to a VOA. Although I don’t know M1 hybrid, still looking for a VOA on this.
