TSUV 5-40 what do I replace it with ?

After getting incredible uoa results even with extended drains 10-16K miles I find Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5w40 is no longer available. I was running this stuff in everything-- LS1 camaro, LT1 TA, Dodge hemi truck, Chrysler 3.8 minivan , 93 F-250 5.8, and even my valkyrie. Does mobil make a similar product or Should I go back to Mixing Mobil 1 10w30 and 15-50 ?
Why Is it every time someone makes a product that is exactly what I want they kill it ?

Why not use Delvac 1? It's the same product as Truck & SUV and available in gallons at truck stops and farm supply stores.

Lucky in that there still is Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5w40 available. I didn't look much into the cost but know that mail-order oils will generally be more expensive than picking them up at a store. I have recently seen this oil at Pep Boys and one Advance Auto Parts store.

Try buying it locally and you'll see why. I called the local Mobil distributor and D1 was available for around $29/gallon ...and they baulked at me not having an account with them. That is, they wanted to send me to someone who would probably charge me more then $29/gallon.

No two ways about it, Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5w-40 was a steal. It's a shame that it didn't last.

But ..to answer the original question..I use RTS. Since Mobil 1 Truck and SUV is gone ..it has returned to the screaming deal it once was before Mobil 1 Truck and SUV appeared.

I would go back to mixing. One thing to consider though is mixing Mobil 1 0W40 and Mobil 1 15W50. You might consider running Mobil 1 0W40 as is in the DOdge Hemi and CHrysler 3.8!

Some Walmarts still have Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5w40 for $2.99 per quart. I was at a Walmart in Pompano Beach and I was surprised they still had 10 quarts on the shelf.

My local Fleet Farm still has a pretty decent supply of Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5W-40 for $4.50/quart.

Not even close, the specs on that oil are very similar (almost identical) to the "normal" Mobil 1 5w30.

They just changed the name to "Turbo Diesel Truck". It has the exact same specs as the Mobil 1 Truck and SUV. Just go to a parts store that sells Mobil 1 and they can probably order it for you.
