Toyota filter 2k on HPL 30 EC

I disagree, in the heavy duty segment, Cummins/Fleetguard in the filter install instructions regardless of the size of the filter shows prefilling the clean side threaded hole and lubing the gasket prior to installation.

There has been recent demonstration showing prefilling does less wear on startup compared to a dry filter by some tribologist at youtube we pretty much all know here.

Here's a Donaldson sample showing the same instructions... massive filter btw.

To the OP-that is one CLEAN engine! Like the xB in my sig, literally ALL the crud/carbon I’ve ever seen from its’ filters wouldn’t add up to the junk in ONE from the Express in my sig. Which has EC 30 in it now, expecting a big load when I get to ~1000 miles on it.

Prefilling is frowned upon by many manufacturers.
You are possibly putting contaminants after the filter.
This from the guy who prefilled for years ( I don't now)
NO, NO,NO! What manufacturers? The oil is clean when new. Better than when run through the engine.
