Hey all, went to get an oil change on my 2015 Rav 4 with the 2arfe

I believe it calls for around 4.6 quart ish

The shop I went to used a whole 5q bottle as I could see him pour it in. When it was too late I asked him and he said it’s fine these engines don’t care about oil level

Any ideas if this is too overfilled? Should I pull over somewhere else and ask them to remove some?

Thanks

My 2013 Camry with the 2AR also calls for 4.6 quarts per the owner's manual. With a new filter and a 5 quart jug it puts it right at the full line on the dipstick. I'd say you're just fine.
And yes, that is after letting the engine run to circulate the oil.
Same on my Tacoma. Full fill with filter change calls for 5.5quarts. 6 quarts takes it to the full line.

How about posting links to some of those videos? I've only seen the one from the Russian garage, and it was both informative and entertaining.

A Lada is based on a 1960s Fiat so it will have different tolerances than a modern car.

I was watching M539 and overfilling a Maserati by 1 quart causes it to smoke out of the exhaust.

When I overfilled my Mazda by 0.5 quart there was bubbles on my dipstick.

It's not an issue.
