Given all the high profile community members and their wierd and wonderful diets (cave-men, atkins, etc etc), I'd suggest my own...the toddler diet.

Nope, you don't eat like a toddler, you eat around a toddler.

Invariably, it's "Can I share some of that Daddy ?", "Can we share ?" etc etc.

Over the last 8 weeks, I've lost about 4 or 5 pounds mainly due to calories that I didn't shove in my cakehole due to sharing.

I find the opposite is true with my young son, because now I've got another meal to finish. In the past when my wife and I went to restaurants, I'd often finish what was left of her meal. Now I find I finish off hers and my son's meal sometimes!

But I'm still only 163lbs.

(although that's up about 3 pounds more than I was all this summer, and up 8 pounds from where I was for all of summer 2004)

I would address it now rather than later. My wife used to just finish small portions of leftovers instead of throwing them away. (Worried about kids starving in China). Over 25 years of marriage she gained about 40 pounds because of it. She has done numerous diets. For the past two years she has been working hard on the problem. She has lost 15 pounds. gaining 5 pounds a year gives you 50 pounds in 10 years. Look at the big picture.

I am pretty obsessed with my weight so I am definitely addressing it now. I do at least 40min of cardio exercise every day, and whenever I find myself creeping up too much above my ideal weight I always do more cardio.

Right now I think my ideal weight is 160lbs. I don't think 155 is feasable anymore like it was last year and in previous years. So I'm only a little bit above where I want to be, but that is something I will definitely be taking care of, especially with winter coming up, as I do tend to gain a few pounds every winter and then lose it in the spring.

Whenever the urge to exercise raises its ugly head, I just go lay down until it goes away. Don't want to wear out my knees or ankles or anything like that. Better safe than sorry.

Yep ..some do situps ..I do laydowns. Exercize is TWO 4 letter words.

I just try and accellerate the heart to max 20 min 3X a week to keep the arteries from getting too rigid and to keep my obviously enlarged heart as healthy as possible.

Our son is 4 1/2 now, and we still rarely buy him his own meal when we go out. Restaurant portions are already so large, we just get an extra plate for him and we sometimes still take a box home, deepending on what we get.

My son will be 4 on Saturday and he can eat a pretty big portion of food. But a lot of restaurants give a lot more food than they should for their "kid's meals" though. So I often help him finish off his fries.
