The Car Guy YouTuber

This guy has a segment with a former GM engineer. It's pretty sad but not unexpected with how the industry is going. His behind the scenes experiences can make your draw drop.
It's the only way a big corporation can operate. The business model demands a return on investments and you can only cut so much into labor and material. Anything further means they must increase purchases and that means increased failure rates. The stock market was never meant to be a good thing for the masses, only a tool for increased wealth.

sure my story was a little off topic but it does apply to other parts in automotive production. Just fill in the blank for any part and it's the same story. Make it as cheap as possible which is where quality fails, and charge top dollar. wash.. rinse.. repeat...
No aguement here- the trans just went out on the '19 silverado- 7k to rebuild and I still have to claim warranty on the pos. But I see a common denominator on once good units.

wow that does suck.. hopefully you get them to cover that under warranty. (y) the big question is, ok they replace/pay for a new transmission, what's been fixed on the replacement so it doesn't fail the same way again?

In any industry I'm a huge proponent of getting it right the first go- otherwise it's just a waste of everones time.

I have a coworker who got their Silverado trans replaced at the dealer, failed again less than a month later. The 2nd replacement has been good so far. Sad that even OEM/dealer parts are a gamble these days
