Got To Be Careful Shoping for Used Cars with 1st Gen GDI

No, its the nature of the beast. No port injector shooting gas over the top of the intake valves means no cleaning. Top Tier gas means nothing when fuel is blown straight into the chamber and not over the valves.
1st Gen GDI prone to intake valve carbon, and dual setup could be an extra layer of hassle to remove/reassemble if you're trying to do major engine repairs later down the line. Old school multi-Port Fuel injection for the win...(at least while a few manufacturers still making it).

I'm sticking to finding a MPI old non-GDI. Lexus RX350, Acura RDX, Toyota Rav 4 around 2015.

Whatever guy, the objective was to help the OP, not to sing your own song.
So, describing my personal experience of owning five TGDI cars is "singing my own song"? Do I detect a hint of sour grapes?
