Yes.

1. Better oil chemistry.
2. It's still a 20weight under operating temps... regardless of it's startup temp.
3. It has a better looking label on the front of the bottle.

The 5W-20 XL has some real nice UOAs here. Known on this forum as Amsoil's best sleeper/money value oil. I haven't seen anything concerning the 0W-20.

Hint-Hint... get a UOA done - then show BITOGers the results.

In Nashville I doubt it matters a bit. If you lived in a place with really cold winters then for sure I would use the 0W-20 in the winter months, but for Nashville ... probably makes no never mind!
 
If fuel economy is important you might get a little better mileage with the 0w20 especially in cold weather and around town. If you want to extend your oci the 0w20 would also be better, otherwise stick with the 5w20 to save some money.

Like it matters what *I* think. Nonetheless, thin is in. Especially in the present SM/GF4 trim. I've read enough about this stuff in articles here and elsewhere that the faster flow at startup and free-flow up to warmup temps spares wear on the engine simply by getting to where it needs to be quickly. What's not to like?

And, as soon as my stash of 5W30 and 10W30 Pennzoil Platinum from the Home Depot giveaways is gone, I'm all over it. Should be about 80 or 100K, but someday.
