Snap on VS Matco

I've never been a fan of the term, "predatory lending". Because I believe that you as an individual are responsible for your own financial well being. As well as your own financial destruction. But if there ever was a more prudent example of that term, this has got to be it.

It’s not snap ons fault for offering 29.9 financing to people that don’t have good credit. Nor is it snap ons fault for not having a platinum route driver that can get 9.9 financing

The person also doesn’t have to take the deal. People should know the cost of credit before they sign. Snap on or driver isn’t putting the person in this situation by force

Boxes are the worst. You can easily hit $10k or above ‐‐ not including any interest -- for their tool storage. I think a lot of techs justify it because they "need" it, but you can keep your stuff in cardboard boxes until a less expensive box is delivered, or just drive to HF or Menards or HD and get something for a fraction of the price.

SnapOn's boxes are great but no one should go into debt for them.

I think many new techs feel a need to keep up with the Jones, the other techs in the shop, fearing ridicule if the purchase a sub Snap-On box.
I used a Craftsman box for 40 years, and invested in quality tools which made my living.
There are many great brands and warranties these days that weren’t available 30-40 years ago.

I agree completely. But if they're foolish enough to pay over $1,100.00 for a 1/4" socket and ratchet set, what's another grand to finance it? They're starting out overpaying by 1,000% right out of the gate.

For a tool truck buyer wright isn’t gonna be a choice due to warranty scenarios. Tool truck is customer service based in the price. Meaning call them or text them and you should be able to get your driver to you in a day

If you have a HF close to your work space hard to beat them now a days. They don’t have everything but many quality usable tools that aren’t breaking the bank in comparison
