Sig P229 and Sig Pro 2340 Magazines

BITOGIANs - does anyone know if the .357SIG/.40S&W magazines interchange between Sig P229 and Sig Pro 2340 - guns built for barrels of this caliber?

They sure look the same. A local gun shack has a couple for the Sig Pro 2340 at a great price. I can bring one of my Sig P229 mags and/or the gun in next week if need be.

I called Sig Sauer Customer Service, and frankly the guy gave me a "non-definite" answer.

They should be the same, 357 sig is almost the same cartridge as the 40. I know the sig 226 they are interchangable.

No, I don't think P226 and P229 357SIG/40 mags are interchangeable. It's not really relevant that the 357SIG is a necked down 40S&W.

Magazines for the P229 and the Sig Pro series do not interchange in any caliber. Although they look quite similar, the magazine catch is located in a different spot.

Pablo when you call Sig CS ask for Victoria Martin. She will take care of you and all your problems. Dont talk to any other clown. A lot of the newbies dont know whats up. Victoria has been there a while.
