I quote this from ChampCar web site regarding the collision between Paul Tracy and Bourdais in Toronto Molson Indy

:

'" I think I gave him plenty of room ," Bourdais remarked. " I was all the way to the left and I was going faster because I had left the pits before him. I really thought it was going to be alright. I didn't even feel the contact. He just slit my tire with his front wing just barely. It cut the tire and that was it. It happened all of a sudden.
"I haven't seen the video but I'm pretty sure that I stayed all the way to the left . I barely kept my tires under of the yellow line and I was going faster then he was. I was accelerating faster and he was losing ground. I stayed all the way to the left as much as I could and he stayed all the way to the right as much as he probably could and we had contact.'

It's unbelievable to hear a professional race car driver like Mr. Bourdais saying this stupid comment. You guys just go watch the video replay you will feel my anger. This guy is 10+ times more dangerous than any other drivers, including Paul Tracy.

Oh, I saw it! That little "pip" needs to get an *** whooping and I'm shocked that Tracy didn't give it to him. That was more contact thatn you typically see in a stock car race let alone open wheel racing.

I didn't get to see it yet. Juan Pablo Montoya made the same stupid comments after the British GP that I've heard from him before. To paraphrase, "I took a big risk because the other guy had more to lose".

Eventually this guy is going to cause a big accident. Perhaps Bourdais is from the same school.

I think a bit more blame should go to Tracy, but I think they were both pretty stubborn and neither one wanted to "back-down", resulting in the contact.

Now that I've gotten around to watching the race on tape, I'd like to weigh in.
SB gave himself a flat tire on purpose? Tracy was being naughty by forcing SB over the blend line. He knew what he was doing.
SB the most dangerous driver ever? Hardly, but what he did in Mexico to PT was pretty ugly. PT has pulled much worse stuff on his own teammates, with Penske and with KOOL Green. And I happen to like PT...
Can't wait for them to come to SJ!

One thread I read from other ChampCar web site saying something like Tracy has taken almost thirteen years to build up his 'Stupid and Crazy' reputation and SB's three year career in ChampCar is just not enough. If SB will be arround in ChampCar long enough, he will be more a evil than Tracy, and probably very soon.
I agree.

it took a lot less than 13 years for people to recognize that pt was a danger to all around him.

he's the dale earnhardt of open wheel racing.

sb is just looking to replace him in a few years.
