This is a much more COMMON issue across this country then people care or dare to think about.
A picture might have been painted. Mr. Hackman with a failing heart and dementia, has rodents occupying and miltiplying in their residence. Wife dies from the rodent waste, Mr. Hackman hourglass has just a few grains of sand left in the hourglass, dies a week later not being able to comprehend his wife his dead, like an infant not knowing a parent died in a home. The Medical Examiner has released the cause of death for Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa. She died of a rare Hantavirus infection (transmitted by deer mice in arid Western climates) probably prior to his natural death from heart disease. He had dementia and may not have known that his wife had died or that one dog was locked in the crate. Too sad for everyone involved.
