Agree; point is that natural gas in a natural state has ZERO smell and thus methyl mercaptan or equivalent is added to alert a human to a leak. Carbon Monoxide may or may not have a smell depending on the conditions upon which it is created.

With a quick no foul play mention, its a reasonable bet that this may be the cause.

With multiple NG devices in the house, I've got CO detectors on each level and one that will provide a current measurement and a peak reading.

I just saw a report that the local police have the Gas company there onsite. CO or other heating related failure seems reasonable.

He had a supporting part but I loved him in Heartbreakers: "I've been passing out more frequently lately. Allergy season."

Yeah it never has an odor regardless of how it’s made. There no chemical pathway for the molecule to elicit an olfactory response. It just coordinates to your hemoglobin and kills you pretty quick.

What was really interesting, and that most people don't know, is the entire chase scene in "The French Connection", was done illegally. Stunt driver Bill Hickman drove for over 20 blocks at 95 MPH through Queens with no permits, coordination, or planning!

It's getting weirder by the minute. Supposedly his wife was found in the bathroom, with a open bottle of prescription pills scattered over the counter. And the front door was ajar when the cops got there, but there was no forced entry, or sign of a struggle. And one dog was found dead in the closet. And another window was broken.

But another dog was roaming about on the property. And the authorities cannot comment, because....... Wait for it.... "The investigation is ongoing!"

Weird stuff. Clearly more will be discovered but it does look like Mr. Hackman had a pact with wife to end things when he was no longer viable. At 95 the view forward might be dark.

Now one outlet is reporting they could have been dead for as long as 2 weeks. They were very private socially, and didn't talk to many people.

The plot thickens. Apparently, Gene had a pacemaker and they were able to trace the last beats, recording his last heart beat to a week before they found his body. Holy CIS Santa Fe.

I wouldn't place too much confidence in New Mexico getting it right. The state has a history of NOT getting it right.
