Redline Oil Selector Recommendations

I went on over to Redline Oil Selector page and input details for my Audi and the output was the same MT-90 75W90 GL-4 for all three applications: bevel box, rear diff and manual transmission. As a matter of fact, Audi specs have the vehicle sharing the same fluid type for the bevel box and rear diff (G 052 145), but a separate MTF fluid (G 052 171).

Can someone explain why Redline is recommending this? Thanks.

You need to ask Redline.

I have seen discrepancies as well. ie. For a 18 Toyota 4Runner, recommending 5w-20 instead of owners manual spec of 0w-20.
I'd hardly call the listing of a different winter rating much of a discrepancy, considering the HT/HS difference between an ILSAC 20-grade and the Red Line product. Especially since the grade is not a "spec" by Toyota but rather a recommendation.

Never mind the fact that the Red Line has no API license and you're worried about winter rating?
