Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Just Yesterday had my interval oil changed.
The Ford got another Valvoline Restore and Protect with AMSOIL filter.
The Toyota got its 5th change of Valvoline Restore and Protect and a Mobil1 EP oil filter.
Good To Go!

Six quarts of Castrol GTX Ultraclean (SP) 5w-20 synthetic blend and a Honda A02 filter. Oil was on the clearance table at AZ for $3.00/qt. This will go in our Honda HRV. This will be in place of the one free oil change Honda provides. I feel more comfortable doing it myself.

At 25K on my 2023 Tacoma, I decided to break away from the OEM oil. My decision for replacement oil ended when I got a deal on Amazon for Mobil 1 0w20 Truck and Suv at $20 for a 5qt jug. Sticking with the OEM filter, which is good and reasonably priced. If anyone prefers this oil, chime in.

My CT store cleared out 5L jugs of PYB 5W-20 and 5W-30 for $23/jug. I got the last 3 5W-30’s; and 1 5W-20.
One 5W-30 will go in my Pontiac at some point, the 5W-20 will go in the wife’s Jeep, and the other 2 5W-30’s will go the the BIL for equipment oil changes for his home small engine business.

Oil and filters for upcoming oil changes and then dad got a couple quarts of oil at Big Lots to for his car because it uses a quart about every 2,000 miles or so which isn’t too bad. They had SuperS oil brand for $2.00. There is clearance signs up for about everything in the store which is nice. I am glad to have Big Lots back. I told the parts guy at work to surprise me with oil and get the usual filters so he got Castrol and Mobil 1 good choices in my opinion.

Bel-Ray Semi-Synthetic V-Twin oil for my 2 year old Harley Street Glide, I also changed Primary and trans fluid with Bel-Ray.
30 years changing Harley fluids with many brands but I became a Bel-Ray fan about 5 years ago and is my fluids of choice for a reason.

I only use Harley OEM Filters for my newer Harleys ( the newest OEM Harley OEM filters now made by Mahle ) and I use S&S or WIX oil filters for my Classic. EVO Harley...

I had to Google Sinopec, Looks like made in China GL-5 , May I ask why you choose that brand and what you use it in and has it worked well?
SINOPEC is a Chinese company but this stuff was made in Singapore. Not a brand most consumers would see unless they work the OTR trucking or heavy equipment. 18L (4.75 gal) seems to be the smallest quantity size you will find most of their products in.

As to why I chose it, 90% of it was the price point and sold on walmart.com and dropped shipped from a local distributor. It recently dipped for a brief moment to $55 shipped (normally $75) and I had a gift card to burn and bought it. That equates to $2.89 a quart.

I will be getting an aftermarket gear set in my Jeep Gladiator diffs that call out 85W-140 as the recommended grade. This will probably last me about 4 years. While I have not seen an oil analysis for this grade, there is a few floating around here for the 80W-90 gear oil, their diesel oils and hydraulic fluids and all show them to meet applicable spec. So I am not worried or have concern.

I know little about gear lube except something very special about a GL5 85w-140 in my Harley Transmission both vintage and new and is all I will now use in my bikes. I like the thicker fluids in the trans, smooth as butter shifts.
