Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

$1/quart for Euro and $2/quart for 0w20

Clearance screw up for the M1 0w40 12 quart box. Supposed to be $35, rang up $40 so lady fixed it and made it $20

Good score I think.

Bought a quart of compressor oil so I now have a couple lifetimes worth of oil to relube sintered bearings, I know you should use SAE20 or SAE30 (ISO 68 or 100) to relube them, I had used SAE30 motor oil before but I'm not sure that's a great idea since some of the detergents/dispersants may have an affinity for water, I looked around for non-detergent motor oil and nobody specifies API SA or API SB anymore so if it doesn't mention anti-oxidants or anti-wear on the bottle I just assume it's SA which is straight base oil, I think you want some anti-oxidants in the oil for these, so I went looking around and Valvoline seems to be the only one that makes an SB SAE30/AW100 non-detergent oil anymore but I didn't want to pay $10 for a quart of it, so I found that Menards had this compressor oil for $6/qt so I picked it up it's ISO68 and the datasheet mentions ZDDP and alkylated phenol which I think is an antioxidant.

You should have Supertech use you for a TV Commercial featuring the long life of your Craftsman mower engine on Supertech oil.
They could even have a commercial length film going in the background of your TV commercial, featuring Arnold Palmer in 1976 riding his Pennzoil farm tractor all over a well nurtured 18th Green at one of his famous golf courses.

Member Adam once did a VOA on Fram 30w here that had an add-pack (Phos/Zinc/Calc/Magn) built like those for SN Plus. I bought a quart and added it to the Kia during a 5w30 oil change, to beef the 100cst viscosity up one more number. That Kia only holds 4.2 quarts of oil and the little thicker oil helps the 2.0 engine.
I'm definitely old enough to remember those old Arnie commercials but I'm not sure me and my faithful old Craftsman mower are on the same level. I'm gonna run that thing until...well, until it won't run anymore

Tecumseh engine ? Great engine , took a beating . It was either the 20" or 22" . Bought it in '96 (?) . The deck where its mounted to broke free from rust . :(

Did the oil change on my Mom's car while I'm here in MI at her house this week.
2014 Ford Escape
1.6L Ecoboost with ~101500 miles
5qts (put 4.5 in the crankcase)
Good ol' Motorcaft FL910S filter
Just shy of 5k on the last oil change. I'm dead set on the 5k OCI and I believe Dad was, too. Oil is cheap...engines, not so much.

The Mazda dealer gave us a free “first” oil change on the CX50, so I asked them if I could just have the oil and filter to do it myself. I explained that I’m not a fan of 10 minute oil changes and that I’m more comfortable doing it myself.
They even made an invoice on the oil and filter for me to have for my records.
It’s getting changed this weekend at ~2700 miles.

GF-5 Standard was bottled between 2010 and 2020. I read this morning it's Expiration date from store shelves was the end of 2021, wherever GF-6 Standards would apply as an upgrade with ILSAC.
Does the label say whether it's SM or SN? I think the SM ending came around 2009/10.
I'm hopeful someone here will know how to read your code date.

It’s SN.
This is very interesting , I’m glad that you chimed in and gave me the information regarding this oil. I’m going to ask the parts guy how long they’ve had it just to hear what line he gives me. 🤔
Like you, I hope that someone will be able to decipher the code. If it’s really old, it’s not going in. I’ll just use something else this weekend and keep this oil on hand until I can figure something out on it. Thanks again for bringing this to my attention. 👍🍻

Might also call a couple of other Mazda dealership parts departments and see what they say about the GF-5 rating on the bottle.
