I think I’ll do that. Return both and snag a TG 3614. Looking at these endurance; I’m reminded of a M1 filter. Louvers don’t look greatest either

I’m betting they have louvers. CHAMP brand ones like I have are E Core design with fabric end caps. They are early 2022 production

They rate them at 25,000mi instead of the 20,000mi of the Ultra, but they're essentially a Royal Purple filter, the ISO 4548-12 testing showed that the old Ultra had more holding capacity than the equivalent Royal Purple filter, I can't say how it compares to the new Ultra in terms of capacity, but it's arguably better constructed since it's wire backed microglass versus microglass over cellulose and the can is thicker.

I'm thinking the Fram Endurance might have better media than the Royal Purple since Fram rates the efficiency higher than Royal Purple does. Plus, for Fram to rate the FE upto 25K miles, seems like the holding capacity would have to be better than the new Ultra, and better than the OG Ultra RP did in the Ascent ISO testing.

I went to Walmart to pick up some things for my wife, and decided to check stock of QS 5w40. They didn't have any, but they did have 2.5 gal Delo 400 XSP 15w40 on clearance for $30.

I'll likely run it in my truck or the wife's Escape, as well most of my OPE.

I meant more so the construction, it appears that it's a Champ labs wirebacked filter like the Fe11784, but for some reason in the value tier STP box. Interesting that they make this but Royal Purple nor Amsoil seem to offer a filter for this application.

Walmart had Super Tech FS on clearance for $15… bought 10 quarts to go into the 5.0 at the next change. Plan on going back tomorrow or today whenever Pennzoil gives me my $20 rebate and getting 10 more quarts. $30 for a 10 quart oil change and $10 for another 10 quarts? Sign me up.

I bought Amsoil small engine 5w 30 for my Generac stand by generator, 10w 30 for my Honda mower, 10w 40 for my Craftsman riding mower and my Honda powered pressure washer.
