Small FCP Euro order for my next oil change in the Sportwagen with HPL secret sauce.

My latest acquisition is 18 quarts of HPL, 12 PCMO and 6 of one of their Premium blends. I don't know exactly which one as it was a gift and I just remember Dave using the word Premium. For now, I'm done buying oil. This acquisition along with the Mobil1 that I have on hand should last me for about four-five years. I guess I'm officially a hoarder now.
Which grade?

Was at WM yesterday getting treats for the dog. Walked across the store for a gallon of the ST "fart" washer fluid, turned the corner down the oil aisle and WHOA! Full shelves! Just happened to be there while the guy was re-stocking the shelves. Selection overload. I wasn't there for oil but purchased one, 5qt. container of Pennzoil Platinum 5w-30, my preferred brand.

Picked up six 5L Supertech 0W20 oil as inventory was getting low for MDX and Mazda3 which uses this grade. SP rating at $19.77 CAD or $15.40 USD. Back to 14 jugs for all oil inventory for our fleet. Heading out to US next week so I shall check out WM for their offerings for oil and filters.

Mobil SS 5w30 for our friend's ‘03 Corolla. She's a single aunt who's raising her niece, so just doing a little bit to help her out with free oil changes. I change it every 5k for her. I throw in a fuel system cleaner for good measure, since I don't know what gas she typically runs.

Great Choice! Mobil Super Synthetic Oil is hard to find now…. I stocked up a couple years ago with 30qts. 5w-30.

What makes Mobil SS a great choice? Price? Availability? Comparative quality?

My understanding is that it's Mobil's lower-tier, entry-level synthetic. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with that, it just seems that there are many better quality oils available.
