Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Haha I apologize for the lack of pics, it was getting dark on me and a little chilly out 🥶. You were still very close, it‘s a 1966 with a 200 cui straight 6. It‘s been driven very little the last 4-5 years and hadn’t even been started in over a year until a week ago so I’m starting to go through it and work on fixing some minor things to get it roadworthy again.

Sweet. The paint job is very nice. Have not seen many that color. I know that is a fun driver.

I went to Walmart to grab some Supertech 5w40 Euro but, as per usual, there was none in stock. The Walmart locations in my area (Victoria, BC) seem to be stocking less and less oil in general lately.

I could order online and pick it up once it gets delivered to the store (no home delivery of these in Canada) but instead I picked up some Mobil Full Synthetic 5w30 at a really good price. I also grabbed a crush washer and filter at the Honda dealership, as this will be for my 2005 CR-V. The filter was $14, whereas I could get a Fram orange can or a Napa Proselect for about $7. Next time, I’ll plan ahead and get the Supertech 5w40 with a cheaper filter.

That is a sweet driver! Nice to see a basic straight-6 instead of the usual modified V-8.
My dad had a ‘67 289 sedan as his DD through the 70’s until it completely rusted out. He loved that car so much, couldn’t stop driving it!

Hello oil filter wrapped in plastic. 👀

I had my oil change pkg from Amsoil in my cart, ready to hit submit....and I resisted.

Not bashing, but I love Amsoil, I agree that the cost involved includes R&D, a phenomenal stand-up company, but with the holidays here...I wasn't going to do a $108 oil change. Six qts of 5W-30 and a filter, I went the M1 route for $41.08.

Long time Amsoil customer but had to change up this time.

I wanted the Extended variant but they only had High Mileage and I don't want that.

Maybe next change I'll swap back.

Sorry for the long rant.

Latest take from FCP Euro for the W8 (mainly)...9L of LM Leichtlauf High Tech 5W40, Hangst filter, drain plug/washer, a can of LM Jectron, 2 cans of LM Engine Flush, f/r wipers, and a cabin filter. Picked up a few cases of LM Speedtec as well for when I go to the track next year. Also grabbed a new accessory belt for the Sportwagen. Of course always 100% free with FCP's Lifetime Replacement Guarantee (less return shipping but with Pirate Ship...it should be about $20 to ship all the stuff back). Also on the work bench coil packs and intake manifold gasket kit for the Lexus from Rock Auto.

Not the oil & filter, but here's the receipt. This will be the last oil filter purchase from my local NAPA store. I think I will mail order all of my filters from RA.
Their oil, however is another story....
