Post your latest oil purchase or even filter.

Okay, just did that on the ‘22 Tahoe bcs it’s on a dealer change plan
(I’m on 3/12) - they tell me it’s ACD synthetic but who knows* …
Going to do the EC30 at 80-60% OLM - have Fumoto - easy.
*never did one of these but it’s part of extended warranty …
Thanks …
why not immediately drain off 1.5 quarts when you get it home? i let the EC30 run for 6k in the fleet. none of the filters have come off extremely loaded.

I could - just do it based on where it falls on my to do list - oak trees and new shed roofs took the stage this time* …
Also thinking when I know they put 0W20 in I should do sooner - paperwork showed 5W30 this time …
*(We were dead center and took both rotations of Beryl) …

My family and I headed to Minneapolis for a few days. Love the city, I haven't been since 2008. Decided to hit up the Walmart Supercenter and picked up mobile 1 0w20 and a Fram FE9972 filter for the rav4. The oil was on rollback and was $26.97 ($37.23cdn). It goes on sale up here from time to time but lowest I've seen is $41.99 cdn. So still saved $5.

And a FE7312 filter for my CRV. We don't get these Fram endurance up in Canada. Read some good things on bitog.

So Frisco is in Canada now?

You have nearly 500,000kms on your three rides. Keep making these continuing smart decisions.

beryl got us pretty good aswell. interesting at the paperwork shows that they put in 5W-30 when that engine specifically cost for 0W-20 I would reach out to the service writer at the dealer to get that sorted out.

I had to run an errand today not far from Walmart so on my way home I stopped there and picked up a jug of Supertech 0W20 and a Supertech filter. My next oil change is due in a few weeks. I was glad the oil and filter were in stock. A lot of times my local Walmart is out of either one or both. This time though both the oil and filter shelves were completely full, like they had just been stocked earlier today.

Hello, new member here.
Just received 12qts. of Schaefer Supreme 9000 5W20 for my 2020 Chrysler 300S 3.6L.
Back when I was a diesel mechanic the place I worked used Schaefer Supreme in all the diesel engines. Whenever I overhauled an engine the rods and mains looked like they were brand new. I've never seen another oil with those results.

To quote an old saying in the oil field, Oil is the cheapest thing in the oil field, run the best you can get. They usually used either their own brand or if it was an independent Oil&Gas company they usually used Shell. None of them wanted to pay what Schaefer cost even after I would tell them the results I saw with it.
I understand why they did. Some of the engines/compressors I worked on held 55 gal. of oil.

Found the PL26293 for $11+change on Amazon for this year's oil change. Thread this quote is from seems dead, so posting here. For a VW 3.6 VR6View attachment 221146
The o ring included with this leaked immediately, checked my work and the cap was on straight and torqued to spec. O ring had a red coating, and when removed i was cleaning the cap with brake cleaner and the coating broke down. It looked like this:

Replaced with an o ring from an STP filter that was black and all was well. Never again if I see that kind of o ring.

For the annual oil changes on my Generac 16kw standby generator, I've bought three Purolator TL14476 oil filters on Amazon for $2.40 each. The Generac branded filters are overpriced, and the Fram PH4967 is not always available. This Tech Line filter is small, looks well made with a "P" gasket and is made in India. My generator is five years old and averages less than 40 hours runtime between oil changes, so I'm not concerned about using a jobber grade filter.

And you only bought one of each while in stock? One demotion on your BITOG oil stashers card. 😢
