RollbackRollback or at old price?
RollbackRollback or at old price?
Which application takes Modelo?Just so I can be a cool kid.
Normally I don’t stock up on oil or filters and just get some as I need them. I made an exception yesterday. I already had 1 change for the vibe and one change for the Venza and QX60 and .5 for the truck. I now have enough for a little over 2 years. If it was ammo I’d be embarrassed by how little I have but I have enough of that and reloading supplies.

The Modelo Oro was 9.99/12 pack and grabbed it to try. It’s not good unless you toss some lime in it.
My camper. Getting dewinterized today. Been busy with grad parties and my daughter’s party is next weekend. After that it’s her friend group coming up to the cabin to tent camp and have a fire so the camper has to be ready to go, which it will be.Which application takes Modelo?
Depends on how much junky black glue that can come off in service is smeared on the end cap right next to the base end bypass valve.I went with the Motorcraft because I like the bypass mounted at the baseplate, rather than the bottom of the filter. I tend to find a lot of carbon and trash in the bottom of the filter and I would not want that oil to be the source of bypass lube. I am speculating it would be better up near the base. Maybe I'm wrong.
I won't use Motorcraft or any other Purolator filter on my Kohler engine. My three choices are NAPA Gold 1348, Microgard Select MSL51348, or Carquest Premium 85348.I cross matched my Kohler lawn mower engine oil filter and found a Motorcraft replacement. Fits perfectly...this engine eats a LOT of dirt and grass clippings, so I suspect the filter works hard. Cut open the old one and it had some metal shavings in it, but the mower was new last year so its probably just break in.

It's luck of the draw, but the black glue that sheds is still being used on Motorcraft filters. I stopped using them for that reason. That’s fair. I’ve seen the pics. I cut open 3 FL500s filters after use and found none of the glue issues and they were properly adhered to the endcaps…but I agree about the excess glue issues.
