Post your latest oil or filter purchase

Just so I can be a cool kid 🤪.

Normally I don’t stock up on oil or filters and just get some as I need them. I made an exception yesterday. I already had 1 change for the vibe and one change for the Venza and QX60 and .5 for the truck. I now have enough for a little over 2 years. If it was ammo I’d be embarrassed by how little I have but I have enough of that and reloading supplies.

The Modelo Oro was 9.99/12 pack and grabbed it to try. It’s not good unless you toss some lime in it.

Broke down on my no stash yesterday and bought the Valvoline Restore & Protect 5W-30 w/Carquest Extended Performance filter bundle for SD's Honda Accord. $41.25, so actually not a bad price for both. She informed me that she's had to top it off the last two OCIs. She could have told me that before and we'd be into the second change of Valvoline. Oh well. I promised her mom I'd take care of her like my own, so....
I also purchased a Honda PCV valve and will wait for her to tell me the little wrench has lit up.

My camper. Getting dewinterized today. Been busy with grad parties and my daughter’s party is next weekend. After that it’s her friend group coming up to the cabin to tent camp and have a fire so the camper has to be ready to go, which it will be.

I cross matched my Kohler lawn mower engine oil filter and found a Motorcraft replacement. Fits perfectly...this engine eats a LOT of dirt and grass clippings, so I suspect the filter works hard. Cut open the old one and it had some metal shavings in it, but the mower was new last year so its probably just break in.

I went with the Motorcraft because I like the bypass mounted at the baseplate, rather than the bottom of the filter. I tend to find a lot of carbon and trash in the bottom of the filter and I would not want that oil to be the source of bypass lube. I am speculating it would be better up near the base. Maybe I'm wrong.
