Pennzoil Platinum OCI.

I have a question for the experts here.

I have an 04 Honda Pilot and last oil change, I refilled it with PP (First time I've ever used it) and a Napa Gold oil filter. I currently have 5500 miles on it and I was wondering what the consensus is on the OCI for this oil.

The change before the current one, I used M1 EP and was very impressed with the UOA after 9,000 miles (I should have driven it farther before changing it). I was wondering if PP is of the same quality as M1 EP, will it last as long as M1 EP?

I should point out, this vehicle is operated in Southern California year round in a warm climate. The vehicle is driven 70% in-town and 30% highway.

M1 EP will have long OCI and with PP you should change around 7000 miles. That's my 2 cents.

I guess I should stick with M1 EP then. At Wal-Mart, M1 EP is $1 more in the 5 quart jug than PP. I know that M1 EP will go 12K before a change. According to that, I will get more bang for my buck using M1 EP.

I wanted to give PP a try because I heard such great reviews about it on this site.

You should be able to go 10k on M1 or PP in a pilot.
