I ordered three 5 gallon jugs of M1 EP 5W/30 along with six M1 EP oil filters for the 2008 Corolla 1.8L with 160k miles on it. Full life driven on M1 synthetic juice.
For the 2003 Focus that runs flawlessly, I ordered VRP, three 5 gallon jugs with 3 Purolator BOSS filters to catch any debris or varnish.. The car also has 160k miles on it but runs like new. I can see some varnish, i will try out the VRP on it.

I’ve have 3 2006-2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L’s each with over 150k miles. I treated them with several solvent based engine flushes, and also several 5,000 OCI with 1 quart HPL EC30. I’m trying to take them for another 150,000 miles. The 2006 and two 2007’s are being driven 34k, 20k, 20k miles a year respectively.

The plan for the next 150k miles on each is Super Tech HMFS 5W-30 oil changed every 5,000 miles and ATF fluid changed every 33.3k miles (3 ATF drain and fills every 100k miles). I change the PCV valve at the same time as the ATF fluid.

I am approaching 5k miles on my oil interval. VRP with a Mobil1 EP oil filter made it through the full 5k miles. I would like to cut open the oil filter and see what was collected. We shall see whether or not I take it to my brother n laws home where he has a large garage with the tools to cut it open.
The next interval will have the trusty VRP with an AMSOIL filter.
Dip stick still looks clean.

The color of the oil on the dip stick is still pretty clear. Never burned oil, never darkened to black...
I'm going to keep hold the Mobil1 oil filter with the intention of cutting it open at over 1 work, for us to look at.
The next batch will be in with the VRP matched with an AMSOIL: EA304, some hard-working oil.

I run the same service intervals, exactly. I run Mobil1 EP and filter, and use Toyota trans fluid.

I think twice about that amsoil filter , so much extra glue flowing around in those things

Good job keeping those vehicles past the 150,000 mile point. Always nice to have a good stash of oil and filters.
In my opinion, Toyotas are more reliable from 200k to 300k miles than many other brands reliability from 0k to 100k miles. It also helps if you have a long commute, as the highway driving puts easy miles on the vehicle quickly so you can reach 300k miles on a vehicle in about 10 to 15 years. I like buying older Toyotas with very low miles from an elderly couple who bought the car new and who might have gotten too old to drive, and then using that Toyota for my long commute. That minimizes money spent on buying the car (as I'm buying it after it's depreciated) and on repairs over the long term as Toyotas are so reliable.

Consumer Reports magazine is a great resource to find the most reliable years of any make and model to buy.
