Oil Recommendation '06 Expedition

Hi,
Looking for a recommendation for '06 Ford Expedition, 5.4L. Mostly used for around town driving, tow 4000 lb boat in the summer. Average annual mileage 7-9000 miles. I'm looking for an alternative to the factory recommended oil, preferably synthetic

Motorcraft oils are made to Ford specs By Conoco/Phillips (Now Phillips66 with the recent name change), They are well thought of on this forum as well as the Motorcraft filters. Stick with the viscosity listed in the OM and you are good to go. If you have special need for your Expedition because of towing, you may step up to a 5w-30. for the summer months. Buy your oil on sale with the proper API/ILSAC rating and any brand name you choose.FWIW--Oldtommy
