This summer I will be towing a camper aprox 4,500lbs with my 06 V6 Toyota 4runner. I run Synthetic oil and change it around 5K to 6K and I was wondering if I should change it more often when I tow my camper since I will be working the truck harder?

No change necessary but I check that my oil is at the top mark on the dipstick and keep my coolant topped up. Change the coolant every 3-4 years. Just my .02.

Yes! This is true!
I just cooked the transmission in my truck this past weekend towing my daughters car 493 miles. To be far I have pulled lots of stuff the last 100K with the truck so I'm not mad at it.
A big cooler and keeping it out of over drive will really help.
