Since it is severe service combined with a trouble prone engine, 3750 miles. Without sales or rebates prob go with ST synthetic, Kirkland or Menards FVP syn. Check oil level often. Another sign of premature failure with this engine is it starts gulping oil.
At the rate your replenishing it -- I would just change out at 5000 miles with the cheapest Dex 2 rated oil you can find like ST Full Synthetic High Mileage. Has the PCV ever been replaced yet?It consumes about a quart every 1000 miles at 115000 miles. Is this a concern? There are no leaks that I can detect
If it is a 2.4 consuming that much oil, the engine will fail soon.

Yes it is the 2.4. That is not what I like to hear hahaIf it is a 2.4 consuming that much oil, the engine will fail soon.
