New Truck, Short Trips, GDI, Need Advice

On one hand someone who seems as concerned as you do shouldn't have bought a vehicle that's GDI but on the hand if you were going to, you are quite prepared. Joking aside I loved reading that and I respect your thoroughness.

I'm not an auto mechanic and I'm not an oil expert, I don't get into NOACK and HSHT or whatever so take my advice for what it is: some dude's opinion on the Internet.

But with all that said I recommend.... VRP 🤣 No seriously. Why? There's no reason to believe it wont perform to or exceed the standards of what your Titan requires. There's also sufficient support that the VRP is, at the very least, comparable (if not better) to the Amsoil and such similar oils in terms of cleaning and preventing engine deposits, but at a much lower price, and given your shorter OCI thats going to be good for you.

Or give HPL a try. Idk seems popular here. For what it's worth, I tried Amsoil SS in my oil burning 2017 Sonata, and I wanted it to work so bad but I still lost a quart every thousand miles, and I wasn't about to pay $18 a quart to replenish when I was changing it out in 4000 miles. And I didn't observe any appreciable, nevermind noticable, performance benefits. Don't listen to people who say "this oil made the engine quieter" or "this oil made my car accelerate faster/improved my fuel economy". Now I hope your Titan isn't burning oil this early so maybe that's less of a deciding factor for your application, but I thought I would share.

You're WAY overthinking this. My GDI truck has had almost 120k miles of some short and some long trips, some towing, the sump has always been filled with whatever 5w30 Dexos1 I found on clearance at 7500 mile intervals. She still runs just like she did on day 1, and never burns a drop between changes.
If Hyundai made trucks - you would have more to think about engines and engine oils (lol !)

You like Amsoil but want a low Noack. How about Amsoil SS 10W-30?

iirc:
Noack = 4.1
No or very low vm.
moly 👈 lol

I don't think Texas gets cold enough (Below -25°C/-30°C CCS/MRV) to require a 0/5W. No?
We used to run 10W-40 dino in Idaho.
