It looks like you are over applying it.
I have not used Nu Finish in over 5 years. I do not miss the smell, difficulty to buff off, and staining of trim so I do not mind spending just $10 more and getting something I like. In the grand scheme, sealants are cheap per application compared to most detailing so $10 is nothing (bottle of wine, few gallons of gas).
If it works for you great and understand that some may look down on NuFinish users. However, some seem to spend so much time to try to actual spend so little.
