We bought a Rav4 Premium Hybrid with no Homelink and when I asked the sales representative she told me they are aftermarket installations done at port of entry (Houston).

There are good things to pick up from Elon and this is the worst thing one can pick up from Tesla (denying customer with no homelink mirror).

Can I buy and install a new mirror?

Any thoughts how elcheapo can a company go and pick up bad habits from Tesla

Sorry it’s a 2025 RAV4 XLE Premium Hybrid (paid $41K) and they didn’t have a $200 mirror with Homelink!! F..k then went ahead and ordered the part

Looks like the auto dim rearview mirror with homelink comes standard on the Limited and XSE trim. The digital rear camera with homelink is available in a package on the Limited and XSE trims.

Our 24 rav4h has the 3-button frameless mirror. Came with it, but I did note that one had to pay attention to the trim levels for that, heated seats, and other options. Toyota is kind enough to offer the hybrid powertrain without requiring the highest level of trims first.

Congratulations on the vehicle. We have been very well pleased with ours!

sounds like user error. The higher trims have it?
Since when do lower trims come with everything?
$15 opener --> fixed problem.

Thanks we are excited about our 4th Toyo vehicle and we good deals as it was year end from Toyota.
My Lexus was involved in a minor accident and insurance on the other party totaled it. I am fighting this with my insurance to get it fixed but I am told any vehicle past 10 yrs are not worth fixing (which world do we live in), waiting to hear back from my insurance. Now with 8K potential proceeds from insurance, I am in a hole for 35K - we are definitely seeing bizarre behaviors from insurance companies. FYI, this happened a year ago with my Highlander as well totaled when it was easily fixable and be put back on the road..

XLE Premium is a low end trim - are you OK Rand!!
Technically the user error was buying a trim that didn't have the options you wanted, not the fact that it was premium or not premium. In fact, the new Subaru Outback touring comes with the video mirror so no homelink and people complain about it.

But I prefer manual mirrors. The auto dimming is never dim enough and I keep getting them with Auto dimming so it's a common user error LOL. Although the side dimming mirrors that link with it are a nice feature
