Well yeah... That may or may not mean something very rough.

Having stated that... Doublehaul IF that was a very meant in the very bad way then I would say the following . Raise the bar and not lower it. Don't allow the negativity to get you to where you respond with that kind of very bad response. Don't allow yourself to get that cranked up over things. And yes I have had to remind myself of this as well too at times.

How many threads are like "what kind of oil do you recommend for my car/truck?", " Can I switch to a synthetic oil with a high mileage vehicle?", "Can I switch back and forth between conventional a synthetic oil?", Which oil do you like more PYB or Valvoline?", Is group 3 a real synthetic?" Etc etc... It is par for the course. And that's all right at the end of the day.

Right on!

Sure. It's called M1 0w-40.

Doesn't state 20k mile guarantee on the bottle..

I know. Marketing at its best.

Yet M1 0w40 has a much beefier add pack, so it's better suited for a 20k OCI than this overpriced Annual Protection stuff.

How is that determined?

Seems like a "heavier objects fall faster" type of conclusion IMHO.

It could well be this meaning. It also could mean something far more "colorful" as well... Only doublehaul knows what he meant by it. That's why I put in all caps the word IF in my response. Key word there. Thus why I put it in all caps. But I agree with you that it could have just meant "good for you" as well.

There is a Mobil 1 filter for the 20,000mi. interval. Mobil probably wanted to launch them both together.

Out of all the Mobil bottles, the original red top 15W50 is definitely looked the best!! Red cap,"15W50" written in red,and the words "Racing Formula" written on the label with those two checkered flags. Just awesome looking!!

Oh,and thanks Doublehaul for the pictures, especially showing the price point!

Well apparently they are because it's been removed...though I can assure you the sentiment has not been.

It's determined by the engine mfg long life specs that it carries, for example MB 229.5.

+1....but I've not seen a VOA (sorry 4wd I'm sure it's been posted 6x times). For all we know m1ap is composed of tiger blood and unicorn horn. However, we can only see so much in VOA...look at Valvoline for example...looks like weak sauce...performs like hot sauce

Nah - I'd rather see this roll on longer than Rat Racer Scar Wars - I'm one of the few interested - but not $49.

Guaranteeing oil for 20k is a bold move...for a major company.

I know that amsoil has done it for years but be honest...the avg Joe doesn't take them seriously. Exon Mobil...different story.

Yeah I agree with ya on those points. If someone were to use "regular" Mobil 1 for 10k mile run each time times 2 would obviously be $25 times 2 = $50 plus tax of course. So, if one were to run this for a 20k mile run it would equal out. But... The sticker shock of $50 on the front end of it really is a tough price point for regular people to take on.
