Neighbor from Hell - this week's events

The guy who surveyed it is in the neighborhood. And that is what the HOA will have to do if this continues. There is no doubt where the property markers are. I am of the opinion that because his mailbox is on my frontage road easement that he considers that his frontage road easement. His mailbox is there because I agreed to it 25 years ago with the past owners.

The county has a great web page using google earth that shows overhead lot lines and distance between points.

If anyone is going to hire a surveyor let it be the ignorant ones.

I have a blueprint for the neighborhood and they should too. They just don't know how to read it. Here's a partial one of the subdivision, there are also lots on the other side of the pond.

I can see how the situation would be aggravating.

Where I live we have shared driveways with single family homes. Poor planning and never again. That’s why when I see those 1.5 mil “carriage homes” I think how can anyone have expensive homes like that sharing a wall? To me it’s a townhome but they won’t call them as such.

Any way commonality imho leads to friction and conflicts.

The #9 lot, originally built by the HOA's son, is the one who really got screwed in exchange for most of their yard between the road and house is all easement. But the back part incudes a road and goes 50-60 ft south of his usable property across the back road and into what is now woods that he is paying taxes on. Highest taxes in the subdivision.

Basically all the utilities of the public utility easement all the public utilities, phone and electrical, are put in my 15 ft of the 60 ft easement. No big deal but they aren't taking another inch...... I'm going to ask the neighbor to move his mailbox too. Doubt if that goes over well.

The easement land is owned by the HOA and they pay taxes on it. Biggest regret the developer has.
