My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

I guess we will need WCW to do some media comparisons under a microscope to see if there are gaps big enough to drive a truck through or not. 🤷‍♂️

Just bizarre to me that you are in the filter business, but the actual efficiency of said filter is a secret. Meanwhile you are promoting a made up "99% dirt holding power" slogan all over the box and website which could mean anything but unfortunately appears designed to fool a casual buyer into thinking it's a high efficiency filter. If it actually was a high efficiency filter, why not promote it instead of the smoke, mirrors and "look a bunny" marketing?

What are they hiding? The obvious suspicion is that efficiency isn't that good but who really knows. Although they have played the same game with the Boss, and it has worked for the most part.

I'm not a Puro hater I actually bought a Pure One in the last month but this way of doing business aggravates my sensibilities. I despise deception and this just smacks of it.

Still looking forward to a cut and post, appreciate those working on it.

Many over zealous oil swappers here could do well with a high efficiency 7500 mile oil filter at a Fram EG price.
They pay big bucks for extended features they don't need and they are tossing out high end oil out at 3-5k intervals.

interesting. guess they don’t want us doing our homework anymore. shame they don’t even list an efficiency on the box
Gotta be a Mann + Hummel movement? Seems anything made by Purolator or Wix under them has been a worse quality product… between them and First Brands nuking the OG Ultras…so much is just garbage these days compared to 10 years ago. PGs ftw!

"OE" specs or performance could mean anything, but an OE filter maker could be following USCAR-36 which is an oil filter spec created by the "Big 3". Or they could be pulling specs out of the air, and if so I doubt those specs are all better than the specs in USCAR-36.

Well I received an email response and they do not provide spec sheets anymore. I called their CS and received the same answer. However the employee did state the closest thing they can provide is in general plain paper media filters provide 21 microns @ 99% and synthetic blend media are around 35 microns @99%. I think she was trying to give me a hint. Well I told them I was disappointed because they did release info in the past. Assuming the media is similar to the ONE filters it’s possible the rating is 21ish microns @ 99%.
Perhaps someone more fantastic than you can shake it loose 🙂

Quite a few drivers operate in the “severe service” zone and shouldn’t be doing 10k changes.

So, yes, you have a very fine point there indeed

I was just referring to the specs/attributes I posted HERE. Other than "Exceeds OE Performance" I'm not certain about efficiency. 🤷‍♂️
So how can you can "not by the specs" when there are no specs? That defies common sense and logic.

I'm not impressed, looks like a rebadged cheapened WIX XP, the rendering art of the filters internals looks the same as the newer WIX XP box art.

You may be right. The wix xp has lost it’s backing from what I saw on WCW.

well walmart delivery is “delayed” and my walmart doesn’t have any in stock.

Man. Why didn't walmart pick premium guard instead. Replaced something that lets unfiltered oil leak through with something else that lets unfiltered oil leak through. Back to square one.
Walmart has had an initiative for years to source US made products where possible. I commend them for it.

Unfortunately, none of the US made oil filters are worth a darn anymore.

At least Walmart, believe it or not, does try to stay with USA more, unlike Oreilly, Autozone, etc. These are likely made from overseas parts but at least some people are hired assembling them. Or it could be only raw materials imported, and the manufacturing is the same. Walmart would specify what they want to a filter maker, and the maker is going to say you got a deal. The price has to undercut as much as possible the competitors, especially PG. American way, free enterprise.
