My Walmart has dropped the Endurance for a new 20k Purolator

I never claimed anything about efficiency, that was you based on your opinion šŸ˜‰. It just seems to me there was a misunderstanding and you assumed I was talking about some sort of efficiency specs but again, I never mentioned anything about efficiency. You misunderstood me when I said "specs". You just went on your assumption of what I meant. It would be best to ask so you can understand ones statements and it could save you some time next time. Have a better day.
Efficiency is part of the specifications. You are correct, there was a misunderstanding on your behalf. I'm glad we can agree on that and move forward. Thank you. :)

I’m guessing Walmart won’t be having two exclusive oil filters. Plus my store no longer has an Endurance shelf as it’s been replaced with this 20k Purolator. It should be interesting to watch this roll out. Seems my store is the first.

I guess the question is will Fram continue to offer the endurance line, except now through non wal-mart retailers? Or will they just discontinue it since wal mart is dropping it? I’ll see if I can find out.

Edited to add: called Fram and they weren’t real sure but they said the endurance wasn’t being discontinued to their knowledge and said that Wal Mart just ā€œbought someā€ from Fram yesterday. That was the FE11955 specifically since they wanted a part number to look up.

^^^ It may just be certain Walmarts not selling the Endurance due to low sales at those stores. Maybe it sells well in some of the Walmarts across the country.

I cannot imagine that Walmart would dedicate an entire large shelf to oil filters if no one bought them. The oil filter section has greatly expanded at Walmart - not shrunk. Walmart only cares about earns and turns.

Realize that your in the know also. I have only Walmart, the big Auto retails (at high prices) or order online. No Rural King here. No Menards. None of the cool places you other lucky folks have.
I just don’t trust Wal Mart with way they flip around on filters Rural king has Motorcraft, AC DELCO, MOPAR And Prime Guard. And AAP has wire backed titanium’s and CQ Premiums

virgin C&P up, place your bets. is it junk or is it gold.

I’m sure it will be just fine. As sure as I am that Walmart will sell millions and millions and none will be blamed for engine failure. Just like the Bosch, pure one/boss and purple oil I’m currently running won’t hurt a thing on my cars. Same way I’m sure that this site will root on someone who runs a 20k filter 50k and roots it on, meanwhile that cut open filter looks like someone dug a spud out of the ground.

it may not blow up an engine, but you are potentially giving up longevity with sub par filtration. think whatever you want and run what you want. i happen to choose efficiency over brand loyalty like puro fanboys.

Not a fanboy by any means. Just pointing out the obvious. If filters that aren’t bitog approved seized up engines and did the damage that folks around here think they did, the interstates would be one big junkyard. There’s millions of cars on the road running the cheapest filters known to man that just keep motoring on.

Nobody here has ever claimed that. It's funny how people say that less efficient filters result in dirtier oil and that can cause some extra wear over the long run, then that becomes "damaged and blown up engines littering the junkyards". šŸ˜„ šŸ™ƒ

Went to a third Walmart in my area…..nope. Not here yet either:

The would be as opposed to the efficiency of the proven leaky bypass seal area FE Endurance filter "fanboy(s)". Got it.

There have been many discussions here about even $1 jobber filters and running them.

Your comment is not based on any discussions here. But if people pay for premium they do want premium.

Agree 100%. If your ok with oem efficiency there’s many options under $5 with fantastic build quality. If paying a premium for high efficiency I expect a premium built high efficiency filter.

I'm in Indian Land, SC, so, a Charlotte Suburb. We just have the major auto parts stores. Nothing cool here. Oh, HORRIBLE chinese food. Doesn't exist here.

Stopped by the Waltukey in Hampstead, MD this morning to get some things.

Decided to see if they had any and they had a dedicated Puro Gold shelf one isle over from the main oil isle. Kinda odd but I guess its temporary until maybe the rest thins out a bit.

Sorry no pics there was people.
