My July 1st Maverick order has arrived..........

Sitting at the dealer with mom finalizing her Maverick today. Have to say, for a base model XL I'm pleasantly surprised with the driving dynamics of the thing.

Parked it next to my Ranger for comparison.

Hers is almost as basic as it gets. XL AWD with the 4k tow package. That's the only option on the truck.

What's all the hype for this thing? It looks very nice and all but it's still just another small pickup. And don't most people here suggest not to buy the first model year of any vehicle?

Many reports of sparkling first oil changes

It’s popularity is due to the fact that there are zero small trucks in the US (Maverick included) and it gets 40mpg

I rather the hybrid have the 4K tow package, trailer controller, bench seat, long box but beggars can’t be choosers
