One year/10,600 mile review of my 2022 Ford Maverick Hybrid

I fail to understand why anyone would actually want push button start.
Its kinda nice, just leave your key in your pocket.

I found a key to my Camry, looks old. Works in the ignition ok but one side doesn’t unlock the door. Key is worn out. Nothing lasts forever.

Keys are relatively cheap and easy to replace. At least on my vehicles which are all old.

Yep, this worn out one will be too. Not sure about some of these laser cut ones. But not sure what a fob goes for either.

If money was no object I’d just have new, and enjoy the new tech. Old tech isn’t bad, it is enjoyable in its own way.

I bet that's a complete waste considering A) a pickup truck and B) limited HP... and C) this is for budget minded people, not those who want to waste money splurge on premium tires as if it were a sports car.

It's a good economy option for those who want that in a hauler. Trying to upgrade it is fairly ridiculous.
When I upgraded to the Continental LX-25's, the truck now has more maximum grip with a even more reassuring composed demeanor. They are much friendlier when hitting bumps. My splurge improved the vehicle without a huge MPG loss. I'm down a 1/2 mpg. People have a hard time believing this truck drives so well, driving city streets and in the twisties. This is a Ford Fuzion with a pickup bed and 1500 lb payload rating. BTW yesterday KBB said my truck is still worth what I paid for it 2.5 years later.
