Mobile 1 15-50 ok for 95 Cherokee 4.0

I like synthetic oils and in the past ran M1 10-30, but last change put in M1 15-50....I run the jeep hard in the summer....long trips and some extended idle....so is it ok to use or too thick?

I've ran M1 15W50 in my '98 Jeep both me and the Jeep liked it just fine.

I liked mixing the M1 5W30 and 15W50 50/50 as well as the M1 0W40 too.

sounds like I have more of a lifter tick on start up though....I'm at about 148,000 miles...have run synthetic since I purchaced the jeep with 59,000 on it...

so I think I would like to run a 15-40...does mobile one make this, or is there another coomparable brand of syn. in this weight ?

I would use 10w30 and add a quart of 15w50.

Mobil 1 makes 0W40 and 5W40 oils.
