Wow those are low prices... I wish I could net PP for under $20

In MN

M1 $27.17
PP $24.98
PU $27.98 (if u can find it)

I'm 19 and I remember paying 16.50 for PP and 18 for m1 for my grand am... can't wait till I'm 40 So I can say "BACK IN THE DAY" then complain about prices.

I think if the cost of living keeps rising here in the north east, nobody will be living here anymore. The New Yorkers moving here and commuting are not helping anything either.

Tell me about it.
But you won't be anywhere near 40.
All I have to say is, I live just north of the border in Canada and the prices (for M1 as an example) are double some of the prices posted in this thread. This is why I never buy M1, Or Edge.

Hey Americans! stop your complaining ;-)

In Canada we pay twice as much. Was just at WM yesterday and ofcourse checked out the oil section.

Castrol Edge $49
Mobil 1 $46
QSUD $44
Valvoline Syntech $44
Pennzoil Plat. $42

Yea, nothing in CA is cheap. We take everything possible across the border for our annual fishing trip. Don't buy anything but our fishing licenses once we cross.

That's a steal. You should be stocking up.

I stocked up on the Autozone M1 deal a couple months ago. Ended up with 30 quarts and 6 filters. That will last 3 years. A couple weeks ago, I was browsing the oil isle at Walmart and they had no M1 on the shelves. A worker walked by and I asked him why there wasnt any M1 on the shelves. He said an Independent Shop Owner showed up and bought every 5qt jug of M1 they had, and mentioned he couldnt get the oil cheaper anywhere else. I think he said he ended up buying 71 jugs total

Yes, this has been the everyday price at any MalWart that I've been in in Wisconsin for the last 6-8 months. All SN versions, too. I've asked the dept manager and they don't know why WI is priced lower.

Pennzoil still runs $5 OFF promo. And with Mobil one can easily sign up with Mobil 1 Rewards for an additional 20% off on their website..

I was in Walmart two days ago. Those are the exact same prices I saw. And no PU in sight.

Your converting to USD? you guys still 75 cents on a dollar?

Canadian money is pretty close to even with the American dollar right now.

I always thought the higher prices and taxes in Canada got you universal health care and other benefits that Americans do not get.

We have Romenycare here now. Know a couple of unemployed on it. They say its better than what they had employed.

It looks like WM jacked up all the prices..even QS and Supertech looks like it went up. I dont get the rationale that since cars go longer on OC's now why the price would go up? To my knowledge if demand goes down prices usually follow since oil companies want to sell more...

If demand goes down, they will refine less of it and the supply will also go down. Economies of scale are also reduced.

Also, on a macroeconomic scale, the demand for engine oil isn't going down at all. The US is a net exporter of petroleum products, motor oil is one of them.

prices went to here In SE Michigan too.
27.17 for M1 in 5 quartz
PU was 28

still 6.47 for single quartz of M1
PU was 7.07 for a single quart.

M1 TDT went up to $26.?? for a gallon
They were strangely out of T6 but the sticker was 25 a gallon

I know meijers across the street sells TDT for 21 a gallon
and t6 for 21 a gallon

Meijer is usually cheaper for me, but they dont have M1 0w-40 for my next change

just went to Walmart this moring. prices in the Ft Worth area are:

M1 HM: $24.50
M1 EP: $27.57
PP: $24
PU: $27
