it's $34 as a 5qt bundle w/oil filter, and been so for quite some time. That's not a bad price at all.

It would. But it has loved Mobil 1 Extended Performance its entire life, even at 10k OCI's. (It never does short trips) The RGT is going in because I got it for free, after rebate. Lol! Once I get through the stash of RGT between my 04 and 08 Jeeps and the Transit, I may throw some of that in there if I score a good price. Otherwise, back to Mobil 1 Extended Performance at about 22 bucks a jug at Walmart.
Boom! I'm in!

Edit: Here it is.... Mobil 1 Rebate Of course, Walmart isn't listed as a participating retailer. Where would you look for the next best price on jugs of EP? We've got Meijer and Target around here. Not sure I saw EP at our local Menards.

Walmart is included when you submit online. You will need to create an account and in the retailer box start typing wal...WALMART will pop up. I have received my rebate from a WM purchase.
The main issue it seems is that if you buy Truck and SUV and get the rebate you might as well save the effort and buy EP for the same end result and get what most consider a better oil in the process.
Now if you can get a rebate off of a Wally’s purchase of EP then that’s a clear winner.

I'm cheap, so if I had an EcoBoost I'd probably do what you if I got free oil or Castrol EDGE 0W-40

And if you show price on your phone matching with $10.99(in store price) @ TSC. Your local AAP or O'reilly's might be nice enough to price match that deal

I keep checking my local TSC store and their Mobil 1 Truck and SUV is still marked at regular pricing on the shelf. Are the ones clearing it out marking it or is it a hidden price that you have to ask about or scan at checkout?Just to be clear folks..........

Yes, In your case you have to bring over the jug of oil to cashier for them to scan. Some lazy/mismanaged stores( have run into a few myself in Texas) haven't marked down or moved this oil to clearance section. So if someone walks up to M1 Truck SUV its still marked @ regular $3X.XX price

Then maybe I'll steer around behind Walmart back to TSC and have them ring it up! I'm pretty sure I saw some 0w20 last time I was in there. If not, I'll snag some 5w20 or 5w30.

Went to TSC tonight and......all out of Truck & SUV. Bummer. Guess I'm off to Walmart this weekend for some EP. Still a great deal at 12 or 13 bucks a jug, after the rebate.
Maybe he believes some relevance exist to using a 3.5+ HTHS Oil with 250F Oil Temps? Apparently some of the manufacturers do.
