Anyone know the Mobil 1 filter application number for a 2005 HD Road King?

To my knowledge there is no Mobil 1 filter specifically for Harley applications. Some models will fit, but given that Mobil 1 filters tend to be on the more restrictive side, I wouldn't use one on a Harley.

I use a SuperTech ST3614 on my Sportster. This will also work on a Big Twin. The ST3600 is another alternative. It's a little longer than the 3614.

I found this on a motorcycle forum, when I owned a 2004 XL1200R Sportster. Mobil-one m1301 will fit a HD EVO Sportster engine. It has synthetic fiber medium and a larger outside diameter than standard.

I currently use a Extended Performance Mobil 1 M110 oil filter on a Victory Hammer 1634cc/100 cu. inch. motorcycle engine, with no problems. A lot of Victory motorcycle owners use Mobil 1 oil filters. I use the same filter on our 2000cc Acura RSX.

Yes I have confirmed it the Mobil 1 oil filter to use is the M1-102. Puralator PL10241 and PL25230 filters are supposed to fit the TC 88's and 96's also.

After reading a thread on the VTwin forum my new opinion is DON'T USE ANY OIL FILTER EXCEPT A HD ONE FOR LATE MODEL TC ENGINES! HD specs a five micron filter with a 60 pound bypass valve. Anything else will let particles through to oil passage ways inside of the engine and plug them up. This has been verified by several HD engine builders including HD tech support.

muleskinner is correct, alot differnt brands are ok to use for a sporty or an evo big twin. The twin cam needs a filter with a anti drain valve.I have not seen any automobile filters that would work properly.Iam.

sure they would fit on the oil filter base, but they are not 5 microns or have the anto drain valve

Could it be because they want you to buy there filter??

No these are independant HD shop techs making this statment, along with HD. It has nothing to do with getting you to buy a HD filter which by the way is made by Champion I believe. It has to do with the size of the oil passageways inside of the engine, along with the oil filter being placed I beleive on the high presure side of the pump or something like that. If small particles bigger than five microns get through it will plug up the passage ways.
