Clarification on Who Makes the New Mobil 1 Filter

I remember when the Mobil 1 filters were all made by Champion, here in the US and were generally excellent, then Mann-Hummel took over and (apparently) they were made by Purolator still made here but quality was "questionable " Apparently Mobil 1 got some consumer feedback and suddenly Highline Warren was supplying a higher quality product made in Vietnam and South Korea. The current filter seems to be excellent but would still prefer a US made product.

I am pretty sure that the mast Mobil 1 filter I bought that is on my Focus now said made in Korea.
Yes, some are made in S. Korea. Post 18 clearly shows that Highline Warren imported Mobil oil filters (both spin-on and cartridge) from S. Korea.

Never going to get a straight answer. Most modern manufacturing companies do not discuss who their suppliers or sub-manufacturing partners are with general public inquiry.

Post 18 makes it pretty clear (along with the email response from Highline Warren). Import info shows Mobil oil filters sent from S. Korea directly to Highline Warren in California. No PGI in the picture because PGI isn't involved at all with the new Mobil 1 oil filter.

That is great, you deduced an answer by sleuthing but I stand by my statement that info is not readily going to come straight from a manufacturer or in this case, primarily a brand management company.

Yes, won't ever get a straight detailed answer from any manufactures or venders. I'm surprised HIghline Warren even replied to my question, lol. And of course some didn't believe that so that's why this discussion then had to dive down deep to find that a factory in S. Korea was sending Mobil 1 oil filters (both spin-on and cartridge as shown in post 18) directly to Highline Warren in California.
