Does anyone know how to read batch numbers from HPL? I just received oil that has a batch number of 23L2201. I'm assuming it's 3 years old?

This probably doesn’t help the OP, but the 5 gallon order of 5W30 No VII I received yesterday has a batch number of 25F2302, and the batch number on the EC30 I purchased a month ago also starts with a 25.
Looks like I got 3 year old oil. Not happy! I know it's okay to use. Just would have liked 2025. The gallon jugs are 2023 but the 2 quart size is 2025

my gear oil is 23C and 23H
my overkill oil is 25h and 25C

So the batch in question is 11/22/2023
@Reloader59, the oil is perfectly good to use. If you are unhappy with that batch please give us a call and we can figure something out for you.
This is a popular product, however in loose gallons (not in a full case) we do not sell that many. I saw we did a custom order for you on this, so I am sure we had a couple loose gallons from a previous custom order we did. Typically we try not to sell less than a full case, but will by request.

Really? I knew someone was going to make that ridiculous comment. And crude oil doesn't actually come from dinosaurs.
Thank you for the reply and date code information. I had planned on changing my oil tomorrow so I will use what I have and the next time I order I will do the case of quarts sizes.
