Actually, not too shabby. This was around 8,000ft on the way to Yellowstone somewhere in the middle of nowhere in WY. Was passing 18-wheeler, started in S3, worked my way up. In D vehicle has hard time passing 90mph, after that is drag, but manually it will do it.The hybrid drive train isn't going to do that!
That is an amazing average MPG figure you are getting edy considering how large/heavy the van is, the fact that is an AWD, the mountainous terrain you drive in, and how fast you are going.
Now, around Yellowstone, with all people seeing Moose first time and waiting for them to take photos, than up and down configuration, I am back to 21.1mpg for last 900miles.
