The viscosity is a little thicker with this oil (5w-30) compared to M1, M1 EP and M1 HM ,isn't it ? I've read a couple post saying it ran quieter than other M1 oils ,could be the reason why ,idk.
I would think that M1 0W30 AFE would be better suited for short trip and cold temperature applications. I was looking for a summertime oil for mostly long-distance towing with a 3.5L Ecoboost, and the M1 T&SUV 5W30 like it should be an excellent match to that application based on Mobile 1's test.
Found it at AZ. $33.99 , 5 quart jug , $9.99 per quart. Price on the shelf (what I paid) was cheaper than what it rung up and online. I'll order it from WM next time.
