How much is the Hazmat fee? I was curious if it was enough to make 4 quarts the better option. I ordered the 4 quart special with the free dispenser. It's not much of a dispenser and now that I looked at it again, it doesn't even have measurements on it. I guess I could have taken the deal with a free can of something, but luck would be the additional shipping would have been the price of the item.

They aren't very cheap, but I've liked everything so far. I've put Kreen in my lawnmower as a test. Right now I"m running MMO in my car and still have another 1,500 miles to go before I can test out Kreen.

No idea but they told me its quite expensive.
I paid $64 hazmat for 4 gallons or CorBan 22 aircraft rustproofing.

I bought 20qts Kreen and pay no hazmat.
I believe i posted about this before about buying gallons,buy it only in qts to save on the hazmat.

Just received the quart can of Kreen; there are NO instructions on it as far as dosage is concerned. It only says put a pint in the oil and pint in the gas tank. The paper stick-on label (crooked too) on the can looks utterly unprofessional. Now I am wondering if this is being done intentionally to give that folksy feeling. I can not imagine that this company can not afford to silk screening on the quart can.

Hmmm... well, don't judge the Kreen book by it's cover. Unfortunate that the cosmetics didn't give you a positive first impression, but I'd still prefer to retain the effective contents over a more retail-friendly appearance.

I just try to remember that Mom's home cooking doesn't come in a retail package either... JMO

How long did it take after you ordered to receive the product? I ordered about two days ago. No acknowledgement of my order (until I e-mailed), no idea of shipping charge and no charge on my credit card two days later and apparently not shipped.

It does seem like small "retail" orders get the back burner and they have no real interest in presenting a positive image except to their primary market. Even so, The product seems real.

About two to four days after your order you should get a shipping email from UPS or Fedex. IIRC, I think they have to ship Kreen by Fedex. Within a day or two your get a copy of the invoice in a seperate envelope.

I took exactly 8 days but I am on the east coast. It was by Fedex ground. I had put a phone order.

This is my second order from them, so I know their products are good.

Since there were no dosage instructions on the web site, I had assumed that they will on the can. Not finding them was quite a shock.

The thing is I do NOT believe these guys are "home cooking". It is not a fly by night operation nor being run from somebody's basement. They have been in business for almost as long as MMO and/or Seafoam. The later two project similar image but their packaging is cut above. I guess that might be the difference between retail vs non-retail marketing.

It took me about the same time to get my Kreen, I ordered via their site. The label is nothing to write home about, the product is what counts. They cater mostly to industrial and commercial users. Kroil OTOH is packaged better. Directions would have been nice.

I agree, this product is not home cooking. I had heard about some of their products through a BMW forum. Wanted to try some of their products and Kreen looked like the perfect opportunity.

I just find it interesting the lack of purchase/shipping information and instructions they provide customers. I guess I have become used to instantly receving full purchase info and a tracking number from most on-line purchases I have become spoiled.

I am going to use following ratio for general usage. Tell me if I am in the ballpark

For Oil:- 3Oz of Kreen per Qt of Engine Oil
For Gas:- 3Oz of Kreen per Gallon of Gas

I believe I understand using Kreen in oil well enough. However I am not sure how long to use it in gas?

3 Oz per gallon in gas would get expensive rather quick if you continue to use it all the time like many other fuel adds..

Kreen is not intended to be used in the gas all the time.

I only went for (1) initial treatment in the gas tank. And yes, it's too expensive to waste in the gas on a repetitive basis. But that 3 oz./per quart of oil is spot on. I used 16 oz. in the gas tank ONCE, and habitually use a bit of MMO/Lucas UCL on a continuing basis for the fuel application.

I just called the Kano Labs people, and they said a pint of Kreen to 20 galloms of gas would be fine. 3 ounces/gallon of gas is too much, but won't harm anything. They also confirmed it is not intended to be used in each tank of gas. HTH

Same here i used 16oz in the tank once but on large tanks like trucks,vans,full size SUV etc a whole qt one time is also okay.

IMO Kreen is not something you want to run more than needed,even if the engine needs two doses that's fine but once its clean that's it discontinue using it.
If there is varnish or carbon in the fuel system one dose will remove it.

Just like anything else e.g. food,medicine,exercise etc too much of a good thing can have a negative effect.

Let me then change it to:-

For Oil:- 3 Oz of Kreen per Qt of Engine Oil
For Gas:- 1 Oz of Kreen per Gallon of Gas

(I rounded up for Gas from Frank's 16Oz/20Gal ratio)

A big oops on my part because I had meant it to be 1 Oz per 3 Gallon of gas in initial reply i.e. similar to TCW3 or MMO in the gas ratio but I wrote it wrong.

Sounds like a good general rule of thumb.Put it in and forget it,it will work in a short time,you will notice the difference quickly if the engine needed it.
