I have a 1998 Chevy S-10 2.2L its my daily driver unless theres snow on the road. I got the truck with 80K miles and have been running syn. since it now has 98K miles Im gonna be doing a auto-rx run and rinse I picked up some PYB 5w30 for the clean and rinse phase. My question is should I keep running the PYB after that or switch it back to syn.

You can switch it back to Synthetic if you like. There are even Synthetic Blends out there so switching or even mixing is no problem

The rinse phase is part of the AutoRX treatment.

I see nothing wrong with performing an AutoRX treatment when you buy a vehicle with 80K miles on it.

Im pretty sure its dirty inside when I did the tune up I went ahead and put a new crank shaft sensor in it and the old sensor had hard black deposits on it.

The 2.2L OHV (same engine in my cav) isn't known for sludging or anything like that, but I suppose if it was neglected before you got it that it's possible. I would skip the RX treatment, and run Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30 with a maintenance dose of MMO for a full OCI.
